  • Tennessee-based students intending to attend MMI-Orlando, UTI-Houston and NASCAR Tech must submit copies of their official high school credentials, not copies. Or they can submit a.State-issued GED or state-recognized equivalent exam.
  • Proof of participation in a post-IV program following the Ability to Benefit (ATB) program (documented with a copy of the official ATB test results and transcript)
  • Proof of successful completion of a course at the post-secondary level.
  • Successful completion of an officially recognized home-schooling program.
  • A credential copy of school attendance if completed.

Requirements for International Students

  • Foreign educational documents from outside the USA that cannot be immediately verified by a university official must be submitted to an external assessment agency for assessment.

In addition to the general requirements, international students going for Cummins Engines and Cummins Power Generation programs must fulfil these requirements:

  • Must be a graduate of UTI or NASCAR Tech or currently a NASCAR Tech student who doesn’t have more than 10 courses in his current UTI or NASCAR Tech program.
  • Must have a valid vehicle record (MVR)
  • Also, the applicants must have no current MVR beliefs about driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs
  • If you meet the above 3 requirements, the next is to have a personal interview with the Advanced Training Manager.

Note that after the acceptance of a matriculation contract, all documents are subject to reservation. 

All students are on probation status until the student’s documentation is assessed as acceptable.

Fulfilling all the requirements does not guarantee admission.

If the number of qualified applicants is more than the available places, the Universal Technical Institute selects the most qualified applicants based on their GPA, attendance and interview responses.
